New Bee Emerging -
We have been follwing the progress of developing larvae in a series of video: (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5)
You are now looking at a new adult bee emerging from the cocoon stage. She has chewed her way through the wax capping to join her sisters in the hive. A bit wobbly on her feet now, she will begin her work in a few minutes. Her first duty will be to clean out the cell where she grew from an egg and to make it ready for the Queen to use again.
